A case of mycoplasmosis, a disease caused by the Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) bacteria, was detected in early June 2011 in St-Hyacinthe. In order to limit the spread of this contagious bacterial disease that mostly affects poultry flocks, some biosecurity measures must be strictly enforced. These measures include, among others, the implementation of a proper cleaning, disinfecting and drying protocol for all vehicles and mobile equipment.
